Privacy policy
Effective July 11, 2026
This policy explains how CUTSHORT handles information in the Android app and its account and subscription services.
Data kept on your device
Your installed-app selections, blocking rules, schedules, limits, usage history, strict-mode state, and protection diagnostics stay in the app’s local storage. CUTSHORT uses Android Usage Access and Accessibility on your device to identify the foreground app and show a block when one of your rules applies. That activity is not uploaded to CUTSHORT’s servers.
Data processed in the cloud
When you create the required paid account, Firebase Authentication processes your email address, display name, account identifier, authentication provider, and account timestamps. CUTSHORT stores a minimal account record and a subscription-entitlement record in Firebase. Google Play processes purchases and payment information; CUTSHORT receives purchase status and a purchase token used to verify entitlement, but does not receive your full card details.
Purpose and sharing
Cloud data is used only to authenticate you, verify and restore paid access, provide support, prevent purchase abuse, and delete your account when requested. Service providers include Google Firebase and Google Play. CUTSHORT does not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Security, retention, and deletion
Data is encrypted in transit. Account and entitlement records are retained while your account exists and removed when account deletion completes, except information that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, tax, or legal obligations. Local app data is removed when you delete the account in the app or clear the app’s storage.
Your choices
You may revoke Android permissions in system Settings. You may delete your account inside CUTSHORT under Profile → Account → Delete account, or use the web deletion request. Deleting a CUTSHORT account does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
