Privacy policy

Effective October 17, 2026 · CutShort 2.0.1 and later

CutShort is a free, local Android app. It requires no account or sign-in. The current Android build has no network permission or Firebase clients and does not automatically upload information.

On your phone

App selections, rules, schedules, limits, usage history, notes, Commit settings and protection/crash diagnostics stay on your phone. Usage Access provides app-usage totals. Accessibility identifies the foreground app so CutShort can apply your selected rules. CutShort does not collect passwords, messages or general screen text.

Storage and removal

Local data is not backed up or synced to a CutShort account. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can remove it permanently. Disable Accessibility and unlock Commit before troubleshooting or removing the app where necessary.

Website, support and older versions

Opening a support, legal or store link uses your browser or another app. Website hosting providers process connection information for delivery and security. Email support contains information you choose to send. Older CutShort versions used Google/Firebase accounts and automatic crash reporting; records collected by those versions may remain with their providers. This update does not silently delete those records. Contact support@cutshortapp.com to request review or deletion of legacy records.

Stillpoint

Stillpoint is a separate paid product. Its installer uses Google sign-in and purchase/activation services, described in Stillpoint privacy information.
