By using CutShort, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to agree to them or have the permission of a parent or guardian where required by applicable law.

Service and free access

CutShort is a free Android app for focus timers, app limits, schedules, and distraction blocking. No account or sign-in is required. All features are available without a purchase, subscription, trial, entitlement, or paid plan.

Android and device-manufacturer restrictions, permission changes, and software or device failures can affect operation. Uninterrupted or impossible-to-bypass blocking is not guaranteed. You are responsible for choosing rules and maintaining the Android permissions needed for them.

Commit

Commit restricts changes to your rules until your chosen unlock method allows it to end. Android and manufacturer restrictions can affect blocking; enforcement is not guaranteed on every device.

Local data and privacy

CutShort uses local storage without an account. The privacy policy explains permissions and local data. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can permanently remove rules, usage and notes. For a legacy account from an older version, use the deletion request page.

Acceptable use

Use CutShort only on devices you own or are authorized to manage. Do not use it to control another person's device without permission, violate anyone's rights or applicable law, interfere with the service, or gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems.

Warranty and liability

CutShort is a productivity tool. It is not an emergency, medical, safety, parental-supervision, or managed-device service. Do not rely on it where failure or restricted device access could cause harm.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CutShort is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee particular wellbeing outcomes, availability, or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use CutShort, including lost data or interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

Changes and ending use

You may stop using CutShort at any time. Legacy account deletion requests can be sent to support. We may update or discontinue features, or restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security, or legal requirements. We will provide notice where required by law. Updated terms will be published here with a new effective date; material changes will receive any notice or consent required by applicable law.
